Three Links Care Society Vancouver, BC Full-Time | Excluded Management Position Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Join a Mission-Driven Organization Making a Difference for Seniors Three Links Care Society is a respected nonprofit organization serving seniors in Vancouver, British Columbia. We operate a 90-bed long-term care home and a 39-unit affordable housing community, providing compassionate, high-quality care and services in a supportive and resident-centered environment. We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and strategic Director of Human Resources to join our senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Human Resources provides leadership for all aspects of human resources, labour relations, recruitment, employee engagement, workplace culture, and organizational development. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR leader who enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on operational leadership in a highly regulated, unionized healthcare environment. About the Role As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Human Resources will: Lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provide expert advice and guidance to the CEO, managers, and supervisors on HR and labour relations matters. Foster a positive, respectful, and engaged workplace culture. Lead recruitment, retention, onboarding, succession planning, and employee development initiatives. Oversee performance management, employee relations, attendance management, investigations, and conflict resolution processes. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, privacy requirements, and organizational policies. Act as the primary management representative in labour relations matters. Lead workplace disability management, accommodation, and return-to-work programs. Develop HR policies, procedures, and best practices that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Coordinate annual training strategies for the organization as a whole. Provide leadership and contribute to organizational strategic planning initiatives. Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations, or a related field or equivalent experience. CPHR designation (or eligibility) preferred. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior management responsibilities. Experience working in a unionized environment preferred. Demonstrated experience leading investigations, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters. Solid knowledge of British Columbia employment legislation and workplace regulations. Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical problem-solving. Experience in healthcare, long-term care, seniors' services, or another highly regulated environment is considered a strong asset.
