This is a hands-on HR role supporting employees and leaders within an active manufacturing environment. You’ll gain exposure across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll support, training, health & safety, HR administration, and employee engagement. Because of the pace and people dynamics of the operation, previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment is required. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being visible, accessible, organized, and closely connected to employees and day-to-day operations. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll support the HR function across the employee lifecycle, including: Coordinate recruitment activities including postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling Support onboarding and orientation for new employees Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation Assist employees with benefits-related questions, enrollment, and changes Coordinate employee training and maintain associated records Support the administration and consistent application of HR policies Assist with employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and day-to-day HR questions Support temporary workforce scheduling and related payroll administration Verify time and attendance information and assist with payroll data preparation Support workplace health & safety programs, documentation, and training Coordinate employee engagement, wellness, and workplace initiatives Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the HR team The underlying role covers recruitment, onboarding, records, benefits, training, employee concerns, temporary-worker payroll/scheduling, health & safety and employee engagement. What We’re Looking For Required 1–3+ years of HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Generalist or similar HR experience Previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment required Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Ontario Human Rights Code Experience supporting multiple areas of the employee lifecycle Exposure to workplace health & safety initiatives Experience working with an HRIS Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Sound judgment when dealing with confidential or sensitive employee information Strong Assets Experience supporting hourly, production, skilled-trades, or temporary workforces Previous involvement with a Joint Health & Safety Committee Payroll/time-and-attendance exposure Employee relations experience Recruitment and onboarding experience within a manufacturing operation Who Will Thrive Here? You’ll likely do well in this role if you’re comfortable moving between HR administration and real-time employee support. You understand that HR in manufacturing is highly connected to the operation — attendance, staffing, safety, production schedules, employee concerns, training, temporary labour, and frontline leadership all intersect. You’re approachable and professional, but also organized enough to keep documentation, processes, and deadlines under control. Most importantly, you’re comfortable being part of the operation rather than operating HR entirely from behind a desk. Why Consider This Opportunity? Broad exposure across multiple areas of HR Work closely with employees and operational leadership Build deeper manufacturing HR experience Opportunity to take ownership rather than perform purely administrative work Established Canadian manufacturing environment Long-term professional development opportunity Comprehensive employee benefits Apply Today If you have hands-on HR experience within manufacturing and are looking for an opportunity to broaden your HR responsibilities, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
