Role Description The Human Resources Recruiting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Red Deer, AB, responsible for supporting end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition activities. This position sources, screens, and interviews candidates for a variety of roles within Predator Drilling, coordinating with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and align staffing plans with operational requirements. The specialist manages job postings, candidate pipelines, and selection processes, while ensuring a positive candidate experience and adherence to company policies and employment regulations. Day to day responsibilities include building relationships with external recruitment partners, maintaining accurate HR and recruiting records, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen employer branding and support a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, and most importantly helping to take care of our most valued assets, our field employees. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Human Resources (HR) to support recruitment processes and broader people initiatives. Candidates should possess skills in Hiring and talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Candidates should possess strong communication skills to collaborate with hiring managers, engage candidates, and represent the organization professionally. Candidates should possess skills in employer branding to help promote Predator Drilling as an employer of choice in the energy and drilling sector. Experience in recruiting for drilling, energy, or field-based roles, and familiarity with Canadian employment standards and HR best practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality, use HRIS and applicant tracking systems, and organize multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a professional HR designation (e.g., CPHR) is an asset. Demonstrated commitment to safety, respect, and inclusive workplace practices aligned with Predator Drilling’s core values.
