The Opportunity Olympic Industries is looking for an organized, people-focused, and creative individual to join our growth-oriented team as a People & Culture Coordinator. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll play a central role in bringing great people to Olympic Industries, and helping them thrive once they’re here. This is a broad, hands-on role at the intersection of recruitment, employer branding, and office and team support. You’ll own full-cycle recruitment, create content that showcases our culture, and help keep our North Vancouver office running smoothly. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is looking for variety, ownership, and plenty of room to grow. Who We’re Looking For * A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related business discipline is preferred. * 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in human resources, with recruitment experience strongly preferred. Relevant internship or co-op experience will also be considered. * Working toward a CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation is considered an asset. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with design or social media tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, is considered an asset. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with people at all levels of an organization. * A high degree of initiative, work ethic, integrity, and the discretion to keep sensitive business information secure. * Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * A high-energy, creative, and engaging personality, with an eagerness to learn and grow. What You’ll Do In this role you’ll support the full employee experience, from a candidate’s first point of contact through onboarding, while helping keep our office and team running smoothly. As a People & Culture Coordinator at Olympic Industries, you will: * Coordinate full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles, including posting jobs, sourcing and screening candidates, running phone screens and interviews, conducting reference and background checks, and coordinating offers and onboarding, all while ensuring a professional, positive candidate experience that aligns with employment legislation and best practices. * Draft compelling job postings and proactively source talent through a variety of channels, building pipelines that strengthen our future hiring. * Represent Olympic Industries at career fairs, employer information sessions, and campus events, building relationships with schools, student clubs, competitions, and campus networks. * Partner with Marketing to develop a monthly social media content calendar and create recruitment and employer-branding content such as presentations, branded materials, photography, and other multimedia that captures our culture and employee experience. * Design marketing and promotional materials that support broader business needs, from product brochures and presentations to digital assets and branded collateral. * Monitor social media and recruitment-marketing performance, conduct market research, and recommend new approaches to grow reach and engagement with prospective talent. * Keep the office running day to day by managing supplies, coordinating mail and deliveries, liaising with building management and vendors, and organizing weekly employee breakfasts. * Support company events, employee lunches, wellness initiatives, and travel arrangements, and provide administrative, reporting, and project support to the People & Culture team. What We Offer * Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 per year. * Midweek Perks: Enjoy weekly employee breakfasts to power through the week. * On-Site Amenities: Access our employee lounge, pool table, ping pong, and more. * Private Gym: Free, employee-only in-office gym to stay active and energized. * Culture of Collaboration: We foster an open-door environment that encourages cross-team learning and career growth. * Location: This is an in-office role based in the vibrant Lower Lonsdale area of North Vancouver, steps from local shops and restaurants.
