Lambert Nemec Group has partnered with our client, a growing organization based in Winnipeg, to add a VP, People & Culture to their senior leadership team. About The Opportunity As VP, People & Culture, you'll lead the people strategy for an organization that's growing and evolving quickly. You'll be the trusted advisor to the executive team on everything from organizational design and workforce planning to compensation, performance, and complex employee relations. You'll lead a People & Culture team, drive recruitment strategy for senior and high-impact roles, and champion the kind of culture and employee experience that keeps people engaged through periods of growth and change. This role suits a leader who can build processes as the organization evolves, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and apply sound judgment in a fast-moving environment, all while keeping the organization's culture and people front and centre. Key Responsibilities Acting as a strategic and hands-on advisor to the executive leadership team on organizational structure, workforce planning, compensation, and change management Leading, coaching, and developing a People & Culture team, while staying closely involved in day-to-day execution Owning recruitment strategy for senior, leadership, and other high-impact roles, including managing confidential and time-sensitive offers Guiding leaders through complex employee relations matters, performance management, and organizational change with discretion and sound judgment Championing culture, engagement, and employee experience initiatives that keep people connected during periods of rapid growth or transformation Partnering cross-functionally on objectives and key results, compensation practices, and broader operational priorities Supporting leaders through sensitive workforce transitions, in partnership with legal counsel where required Qualifications 10+ years of progressive HR or People & Culture leadership experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment CPHR designation and a degree in business, human resources, or a related field A proven track record leading change management initiatives and building people strategy in ambiguous or evolving environments Strong recruitment strategy experience, particularly for senior and leadership-level roles Excellent judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage confidential, high-stakes people matters A collaborative, practical leadership style paired with the ability to move quickly and make sound decisions without waiting for perfect information A genuine appetite for fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, you find variety and momentum energizing This is an opportunity to make a real, visible impact on an organization during a pivotal stage of growth.
