Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Wellness resources About The Role Ideal Siding is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function and support a growing team of approximately 35 employees. This position is offered as a two-year fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave coverage. As our organization continues to grow, there is strong potential for this role to become a permanent opportunity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll oversee the full employee lifecycle while partnering with leaders to build scalable HR processes, support employees, and help shape a positive, high-performing workplace. Key Responsibilities HR Strategy & Leadership – Partner with leadership to develop HR initiatives, improve processes, and support organizational growth. Recruitment & Hiring – Lead full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, and hiring for corporate positions while ensuring an excellent candidate experience. Onboarding & Offboarding – Manage employee onboarding, employment documentation, payroll and benefits coordination, and respectful offboarding processes. Employee Relations – Provide guidance to managers and employees on workplace concerns, performance, conflict resolution, investigations, and employment matters. Performance Management – Oversee probation reviews, quarterly check-ins, annual reviews, performance improvement plans, and employee development initiatives. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll – Support salary reviews, promotions, bonuses, benefits administration, and payroll-related employee changes. HR Operations & Compliance – Maintain HR records, policies, employment agreements, HR systems, and ensure compliance with BC employment legislation. Employee Engagement & Culture – Support employee engagement, recognition programs, internal communications, and culture-building initiatives. HR Reporting & Analytics – Track HR metrics, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to support business decisions. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive HR experience. Experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or similar role. Strong knowledge of BC employment standards and Canadian employment practices. Experience with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll support, and HR operations. Comfortable advising senior leaders and managing confidential employee matters. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Experience developing or mentoring junior HR team members is an asset. Experience in franchising, construction, home services, or multi-location organizations is an asset. HR-related degree, diploma, or certificate preferred. CPHR designation (or working toward one) is an asset. What Success Looks Like In this role, you'll: Build trusted relationships across the organization. Deliver organized, compliant, and scalable HR processes. Strengthen recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement. Improve HR systems, policies, reporting, and documentation. Help support Ideal Siding's continued growth while creating a positive employee experience. Contract Opportunity This role is initially a two-year fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave coverage. As Ideal Siding continues to grow, there is strong potential for the successful candidate to transition into a permanent position based on business needs and performance.
