We are seeking a collaborative, proactive, and business-minded Senior Human Resources Generalist to support our growing organization. This role will partner closely with leaders and employees across multiple functions, providing strategic and hands-on HR support in employee relations, talent management, performance, engagement, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you'll play a critical role in helping leaders navigate people challenges, drive employee engagement, and build high-performing teams while ensuring alignment with ecobee's culture and values. This is a hybrid position that requires onsite work from our Toronto office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. How You'll Make An Impact Employee Relations & Leadership Support Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, performance management, employee development, and workplace concerns. Conduct and support employee investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes while ensuring fairness and consistency. Coach leaders on talent management, change leadership, performance conversations, career development, and employee engagement. Interpret and apply company policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices. Talent & Performance Management Partner with leaders to support workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent review processes. Facilitate performance management activities, including goal setting, development planning, talent calibration, and performance improvement plans. Help drive accountability for employee development and career growth initiatives. Support leadership capability-building and manager effectiveness programs. Employee Engagement & Culture Analyze engagement survey feedback and partner with leaders to develop meaningful action plans. Support initiatives that strengthen employee experience, retention, inclusion, and organizational culture. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement employee recognition, wellness, and engagement programs. Act as a culture ambassador and champion ecobee's values throughout the employee lifecycle. HR Programs & Operations Support compensation planning activities, promotions, organizational changes, and employee life-cycle transactions. Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives. Assist with HR analytics, reporting, and workforce insights to support business decision-making. Participate in enterprise-wide HR programs and projects, including organizational change initiatives and harmonization efforts across Generac Home and ecobee. Change Management Support leaders through organizational changes by providing coaching, communication guidance, and change management support. Help ensure successful adoption of new programs, processes, and ways of working. Identify organizational risks and proactively recommend solutions that balance employee experience and business outcomes. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Generalist, HRBP, or Employee Relations capacity. Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices. Experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations. Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence leaders at all levels of the organization. Strong facilitation, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting technology, customer support, product, engineering, or corporate functions. Experience working within a high-growth or rapidly changing environment. Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms. Demonstrated success implementing HR programs and leading change initiatives. Experience partnering with both Canadian and U.S. teams. ecobee is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Toronto is $85,000 - $110,000. CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives. This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, paid Holidays (10 for Ontario, 11 for British Columbia) and RRSP retirement benefits.
