Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, outgoing, and results-driven Manager, Student Recruitment & Admissions to support the college’s enrolment growth. This is a hands-on, sales-focused position. The successful candidate will manage prospective students from initial inquiry through application and enrolment. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, consistent follow-up, and the ability to confidently explain CMU’s programs, career opportunities, admissions process, tuition fees, and available payment options. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with enrolment targets, managing a pipeline of prospective students, conducting consultations and campus tours, and converting qualified inquiries into enrolled students. An interest in makeup, beauty, fashion, film, television, theatre, or creative education would be a strong asset. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to prospective student inquiries received by phone, email, website, social media, and other lead sources. Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person consultations with prospective students and their families. Understand each prospective student’s interests and career goals and recommend the most appropriate CMU program. Clearly explain program content, schedules, career pathways, admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and payment options. Maintain regular and effective follow-up with prospective students throughout the recruitment and admissions process. Guide applicants through application, documentation, acceptance, payment, and enrolment. Conduct engaging campus tours and provide prospective students with a positive introduction to CMU. Manage the student recruitment pipeline using the college’s CRM and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records. Achieve established monthly and annual application and enrolment targets. Track recruitment activities, lead conversion rates, follow-up progress, and enrolment results. Identify inactive or older leads and develop strategies to re-engage qualified prospective students. Organize and participate in open houses, information sessions, high-school visits, career fairs, community events, and other recruitment activities. Develop relationships with high schools, community organizations, career counsellors, industry partners, and other referral sources. Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, prospective student interests, and market trends. Collaborate with academic, finance, and student services teams to provide applicants with accurate information and a smooth enrolment experience. Support other student recruitment and admissions activities as required. Occasional evening, weekend, or local travel may be required for recruitment events. Qualifications & Experience Diploma or degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, education, or a related field. Minimum three years of experience in sales, student recruitment, admissions, business development, customer service, or another target-driven role. Experience in private career colleges, post-secondary education, beauty education, or the creative industries is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, follow up consistently, overcome objections, and close sales. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Confident and professional when speaking with prospective students, parents, and community partners. Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable for achieving measurable results. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prospective students at different stages of the enrolment process. Experience using a CRM or student information system is preferred. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, video conferencing, social media, and other digital communication tools. Knowledge of makeup artistry, beauty, fashion, film, television, theatre, or creative career education is an asset. Ability to communicate in an additional language is an asset. Able to travel.
