Role Description This full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role is based in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. The Human Resources Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. This role will develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational values and legal requirements, and support leaders with coaching and guidance on HR best practices. The Human Resources Manager will manage benefits and compensation processes, maintain accurate HR records, and support training, development, and health and safety initiatives. The role also involves fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace culture and supporting change management and organizational development efforts. Qualifications Experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. Knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, and best practices in benefits, compensation, and workplace health and safety. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust and support staff at all levels. Proven organizational and analytical skills, including attention to detail, confidentiality, and sound judgment in decision-making. Experience in leadership or management roles, preferably within social services, non-profit, or community-based organizations. Proficiency with HRIS systems and standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools). Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CHRP or equivalent certification is an asset.
